Please note that only the English version is now available, the Metric version has been discontinued. Some have successfully imported it into other spreadsheet programs, but compatibility with other software cannot be guaranteed. If you are using Excel, you will need Excel 97 (minimum) in order to maintain all of the functionality that is built into it. NOTE: Microsoft Works, Microsoft Excel Viewer and OpenOffice are NOT compatible at this time.

Features:

• Simple, easy to use
• Fully customizable to fit YOUR pricing needs and structure
• Powerful. It calculates pricing based primarily on size and number of colors. In addition, it will calculate quantity pricing for signage and uses a tiered pricing structure (based on size) for logos/graphics.
• Helpful pop-ups. Pop-up messages appear when the cursor is placed on certain cells. These include important information specific to that task (i.e. material prices, hints, etc.).

Multiple sections for different needs:

• Main Screen: Navigation buttons take you to each screen in GraphixCALC XL
• Common Signs: pricing based on size, number of colors and substrate. Included is pricing for: banners, magnetics, coroplast, MDO, PVC, aluminum and sandblasted.
• Vinyl Lettering: pricing based on letter size, quantity and material.
• Logos/Graphics: pricing based on size, number of colors and material. Also calculates installation, if applicable.
• Number of Letters: Type in your text and it will tell you how many characters you have. Eliminates counting by hand.
• Custom Pricing: This section encompasses most of the others with the additional capability of altering ALL elements of a sign.
• Invoice: An invoice sheet has also been included that is formatted for printing. It will automatically multiply for quantities, adjust for discounts, add tax, etc. It can be modified to suit by adding your logo and information.
• Estimate: An estimate sheet has also been included that is formatted for printing. It will automatically multiply for quantities, adjust for discounts, add tax, etc. It can be modified to suit by adding your logo and information.
• Work Order: A work order sheet has been included that allows you to keep track of actual time spent -vs- your selling price, along with other important data for each job. It is formatted for printing and can be modified to suit.
• Gerber Edge: NEW! This section calculates pricing for thermal digital printing use the Gerber Edge. The default settings are for the Gerber Edge FX but can be customized for legacy models. NOTE: This section is locked out of the base edition. A password is required to unlock this part of the software.

Also included is a Design Hints page containing "Readability versus Distance" and the top 10 contrasting color combinations. To help you get the most out of the calculator, a FREE 7-page tutorial in PDF format is also available for download.
