Can I change the background image in the forms of GraphixCALC Pro 2.x?
Modified on: 7/9/2009

YES! A currently undocumented feature of version 2.0 relates to the background image of all the forms. If desired, the user can alter this image as desired simply by replacing the image file. It is necessary to use a file named exactly the same as the current one, so if you want you can place several different versions in the directory to see what you like best. The file is: GraphixCALC.bmp and you MUST use a BMP file as well. First, close GraphixCALC Pro. Then, navigate to the installation directory (which is a hidden directory by default).

For Windows XP/2000, the default directory is: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GraphixCALC Software\GraphixCALC Pro 2.0

For Windows Vista, the default directory is: C:\ProgramData\GraphixCALC Software\GraphixCALC Pro 2.0

We suggest that you rename the existing file to something like "GraphixCALC-old.bmp" or whatever suits you so you at least have that one to revert back to.

NOTE: The existing image is a tileable fill, so no noticeable pattern is shown. We suggest that you also use a tileable fill for the best visual experience, but it is ultimately up to you. Enjoy!
